Adobe Flex Builder : Transaction Datagrid

For a few years now, Adobe Flex been building steam as the best Flash framework for building RIAs... some might say it's the only game in town in that arena.

I found that Flex Builder (based on Eclipse) lives up to its promise to be a rapid application development environment for clean, user friendly interfaces. Cool features for the datagrid, for example, include default sorting, edit properties and data binding that would require several times the lines of code required by an equivalent AJAX datagrid. I really like Flex in that it forces a clean abstraction of application logic, for portability to multiple platforms, including mobile devices.

Many of you may know of Adobe's support for developing Drupal Services API for Flex, through AMFPHP. In fact, the flex.org showcase is driven by Drupal. This has me motivated to explore the possibilities in developing applications that leverage Drupal and the unparalleled SVG rendering prowess of the Flex (Flash) framework.
