Weather Text is the first SMS / drupal software crossover application to come out of Listings Lab Productions.

The beta service which has been running for 6 months allows people to sign up and pay through a drupal / paypal interface. It also manages the subscriptions via a customized drupal interface.

Other features include the ability to create voucher codes and a full content management system allowing the site to grow.

The application retrieves a web based weather forecast each morning via a php script running on a cron job. This script then creates an SMS length weather forecast (160 characters max) and saves the forecast to the mySQL database.
